Courier credentials
A password sent by email can be read by anyone who can read the email. The firm sends them by courier, in sealed envelopes, signed for on delivery.
How it works
- When a client’s staff are set up on the Intranet Suite, the firm generates a temporary password for each person.
- Each password is printed on a card, sealed in a plain envelope addressed to its holder by name, and taken by a courier employed by the firm.
- Envelopes are delivered on a Friday, so that staff can sign in fresh on Monday, and are signed for in person.
- Staff are asked to change the temporary password at their earliest convenience.
Records
A copy of each card is kept in the firm’s records in Secaucus.
If an envelope has not arrived
Telephone the support desk, +1 212 014 0171, on the Monday. The desk will confirm the delivery with the courier and, if the envelope cannot be found, cancel the temporary password and send another on the Friday after.
The envelope

|---|---|
| Card | One password, the holder’s username and the firm’s telephone number |
